London Fashion Weekend...

Here's my first photo of 'actual' me!

Hi Guys,

So you may remember from my last post I said that I had bought tickets to attend London Fashion Weekend with my friend Poppy and after having what seemed like a lull with blogging, I've finally got round to posting about it.

After being driven to the train station, waiting in traffic and then waiting in the horrendous queue to get a train ticket, the day started off on a bad note. I missed the train Poppy was on and she had no signal for me to call and find out where she was, but that wasn't going to dampen my spirits! I managed to meet her and after jumping on and off the tube we arrived in London. Nervously chatting and walking to Somerset House, neither of us knew what to expect. When we got there it was sensory overload, there were people bustling around, dressed to the nines and excitedly taking turns to have a photo under the London Fashion Weekend sign.

We were due to attend the Trend fashion show, which consisted of 4 looks for SS14 all created by the stylists at www.theoutnet.com. I had never been to a fashion event of this standard before so didn't really know what to expect, we waited for a short while before it began. Flower Power, Good Sport, Precious Metals and Lace Embrace were the trends on show, all were beautiful and there was hardly a piece I didn't like.

After the show ended we went for a bite to eat and a wander, only to find the most gorgeous statement pieces and bank balance breakers!
We had a nosey at the Canon hub where they offered to take a 360 photo of you, but  unfortunately due to 'bad lighting' we decided not to keep it!!

There was a Levi lounge to shmoose with champagne and listen to up and coming artists, as well being offered what seemed like bucket loads of free yoghurts! We wandered around whilst people where having their hair styled, make up done and we even attempted to put our names down on the free massage waiting list - only to find out there was a 2 and a half hour queue! There was so much to do and see and rather than overload you all I took a few photos of my favourite items to show you...

If you've never been to a fashion show before and want to experience the buzz and excitement of it all, I'd definitely recommend it. The tickets weren't too expensive at £49 for Silver tickets with P&P but here's hoping I'll manage to bag an invite to one of the shows at London Fashion Week later in the year!

I hope you're all enjoying Britain's attempt at Spring weather and I promise to get back to frequent blogging - Any tips?

Thanks & Freckles,
